losing your belly fatLast week, I was talking to a friend who was embarrassed by all of the belly fat that he was carrying. He hates the way his belly jiggles when he walks and tries to jog. So he earnestly tried to seek out my advice on ways he can lose that belly fat and tone up his abs in a matter of days.

Now I am not going to lie to him by telling him that he will get rock solid abs in 17 days just from applying my exercises. We all know that the “get quick results” are just a bunch of nonsense and hogwash.  Especially, if you are slightly overweight. So I told him up front that if he applied the exercises that I was going to teach him, he should see some significant results within the next 30 to 45 days. I have no reason to lie to him and build his hopes up for quick results. As a matter of fact, it is a shame that a lot of these fat burning products build so much hope in quick results. But, that is another topic in itself.

But as I mentioned, I gave him a simple plan of action that would guarantee some noticeable results within a few weeks.

Now let me debunk all of the myths out there when it comes to losing your belly fat.

A lot of products will have you believe that doing stomach crunches and sit-ups is all it takes to really lose the belly fat. Now don’t get me wrong; you can get some rock hard abs just from doing ab crunches, but if the fat is still around your abs, then no one will be able to see them. Those beautiful abs of yours will just be hidden around a big layer of fat that you never got rid of.

So the key to losing your belly fat is to use a combination of cardio exercises and abdominal exercises. There are plenty of cardio exercises that you can do. You can do some jump rope, walk or run on a treadmill, jumping jacks, etc… Of course, some cardio exercises work a lot better than others, but as long as you make an effort to increase your heart rate and keep it up, your body will draw on the fat reserves and reduce them….thus helping to shed layers of fat around your abdomen.

For abdominal exercises, I recommend using a resource such as the Ab Circle Pro. It is not necessary to have this machine, but it does give you some seriously toned abs if you use it for a few minutes every day.

But please note, that your rock hard solid abs won’t been seen if they are covered by layers of fat. This is why you need to combine various types of exercises in order to melt the fat, as well as tone your ab muscles. You can’t have one without the other.
